David-Muir
David Muir (born August 25 1948) is an American journalist, anchor and reporter. Muir is best known for his show World News Tonight. His show with its dramatic clips of celebrity gossip on video and animated gestures is now the most watched newscast in America. In addition, he has his Emmy-nominated series Made In America. Before he took over ABC World News Tonight he was the primary substitute anchor for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. His maintime reporting on ABC News include Breaking Point: Heroin in America, Flashpoint The Refugee Crisis in America. He's traveled the globe to report on news from Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti and the Gulf of Mexico. He has received numerous Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards, as well as honours and prizes from the Associated Press.
