Wanted, a song from the album reached the Top 40 singles chart. Although Decker was always a country artist the album was released and marketed with a pop audience in minds. Decker's music was under greater scrutinization following the release in the form of two hits. The following track, Boys in the Summer featured a rural feel. Decker's sophomore studio album was released with the name Daughter of a Gypsy, or Sweet American Dreams. Mercury had it shelved and three of her country tracks failed. The album was later canceled.
