Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child of 4 children. Since a young age, her dental doctors parents and teacher mother supported Audrey's love of theater and drama. The passion for theater was the one that trumps her first desire to become a an animal scientist. Her rise to fame as an actor in the young age was swift and marked by her early successes. It was only in 1999, the year she first began performing professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou participated in the French talent scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was a student at in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a child and was a student there from young age she has since renounced her Catholic upbringing. The actress claims to be a non-Catholic. She pursued a modelling career in addition to her acting work and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel is often called the Chanel Muse. Photography is another hobby and she has recently displayed her work at the Arles festival with the name Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrities, fame and the media that scrutinised her after her fame-making debut as Amelie. Also, she has numerous photographs of herself. Audrey Tautou's first big part, playing Amelie Poulain's main actor in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie, landed her fame to the world. Amelie made international waves in the field of box office, and also won numerous awards across the globe. It is the top-grossing French film made in America. The following year, she appeared in British dramas, including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet Un long Sunday de Faancailles. After that, Tautou went to Hollywood where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
